About the Role
Are you an experienced Shopify freelancer looking for a flexible, long-term side gig?
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Shopify Virtual Assistant (VA) to join our team as a backup resource for storefront maintenance and basic updates. This is a highly flexible, on-call position starting with an initial 15-day standby period (where there may be no immediate tasks assigned).
This role is ideal for a remote Shopify Store Manager or E-commerce Specialist who wants to secure a long-term partnership. If we assign you a few initial tasks and you perform well, this role will transition into a consistent, ongoing opportunity with our growing team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shopify Virtual Assistant, Shopify Store Manager, or E-commerce Specialist
- Hands-on experience navigating the Shopify admin dashboard to edit pages, products, and navigation
- Familiarity with on-page SEO basics (updating product tags, meta descriptions, and adding keywords)
- Strong attention to detail for text edits, content updates, and copy-pasting (changing text from X to Y)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond quickly to task requests
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a disciplined remote workflow
Responsibilities
- Execute basic Shopify store updates, including text modifications, layout tweaks, and banner updates
- Optimize product listings by inserting targeted keywords to improve search engine rankings
- Perform routine content management tasks on Shopify pages as directed
- Remain available as an on-call backup resource for quick 1-to-2-hour support tasks
- Ensure all Shopify storefront changes are highly accurate, professional, and mobile-friendly
