Overview
NizSol delivered UX design for Triply, a Y Combinator-backed (Winter 2024) operating system for travel agencies across Africa. The platform pulls global payment collection, multi-currency virtual banking, booking, accounting, invoicing, and a marketplace into one dashboard, replacing the spreadsheets and manual cash-flow tracking most agencies in the region still run on.
Complex Travel Operations, Simplified UX
Triply needed a UX design that could handle the complexity of multi-currency payments, flight ticket issuance, and accounting workflows while remaining intuitive for travel agency staff with varying technical proficiency across emerging markets.
- Workflow Complexity. Designing for multi-step booking, payment, and accounting workflows that travel operators use daily.
- Multi-Currency Interface. Presenting virtual wallet balances, FX conversion, and reconciliation across multiple currencies in a clear, digestible format.
- Dual User Faces. Balancing power-user efficiency for agency staff with clean, branded itineraries for client-facing reports.
Travel Operations UX Platform
One interface covering the whole operating loop of a travel agency: booking, payment collection, accounting, and reporting. The design work was mostly about making four different jobs feel like one product.
- Dashboard Command Center. Centralized view of bookings, payments, cash flow, and pending tasks with role-based customization for different agency staff.
- Payments & Wallet UX. Intuitive flows for global card acceptance, multi-currency virtual accounts, and instant FX conversion for supplier payouts.
- Accounting Module UX. Clean invoicing, payroll, and reconciliation interfaces designed for non-accountant travel operators.
Travel Tech UX Process
We conducted research with East African travel agencies, mapped their operational workflows, and designed an interface that dramatically reduces time spent on back-office tasks.
